SPELLING BEE NIGERIA 2018 FINAL #spellingbee9ja

Peat Philips Foundation is a local NGO whose vision is to improve the lives of our youth through literacy, as well as champion the cause of education and franchise holders of Scripps National Spelling Bee, USA.

We strongly believe that education cannot be limited to only what is taught in the classroom; co-curricular activities must be included in the curriculum.

Peat Philips Foundation believes in children’s right to quality education.  For over ten years, we have been at the forefront of helping to stem the tide of falling standards of the English language through literacy, as well as making a case for education being a priority.

The Spelling Bee is a competition designed for students between the ages of 8 and 13 to inculcate the basic imperatives of effective communication, ultimately impacting improved spelling skills, development of poise, increase students’ vocabulary, pronunciation and accurate word usage.
